Guangzhou Gangfa Petrochemical Wharf (hereinafter referred to as Gangfa Wharf) is a large public and professional petrochemical wharf, located between Dahu Island and Shaluo Bay at the upstream of Puzhou Waterway of the Pearl River, in the waters of Nansha Port, a national first-class open port, and is one of the largest and most advanced petrochemical wharfs in the Pearl River Delta.
Gangfa Wharf is a high-piled plate-beam structure and a high-piled pier structure. The pile foundation is mainly steel pipe piles, and the rest are concrete prefabricated piles. Steel pipe piles are distributed in the main wharf and the main approach bridge, a total of 213. The original design anti-corrosion method is marine underwater structure heavy anti-corrosion coating, without cathodic protection measures. It has been 16 years since the wharf was put into use in 2004. It is close to the original design anti-corrosion life. The paint coating of steel pipe piles has begun to fall off, and the local spot corrosion has exceeded 1mm deep, and the overall coating has started to fail. It is necessary to carry out anti-corrosion repair on 213 steel pipe piles again, and add cathodic protection measures according to the latest specifications, and carry out anti-corrosion maintenance on the underwater part of steel pipe piles.
The steel pipe pile of this project adopts the integrated coating armor corrosion protection scheme. The integrated coating armor protection structure is composed of a multi-layer structure, including polymer reinforced textile and PVC film or high-density modified polyurethane coating (the coating meeting the relevant technical requirements), adhesive polyester outer layer, and felt layer with permeability resistance and impregnated with water resistant thixotropic gel corrosion inhibitor or bactericide. According to the original design pile map, the total protection area is 2513 square meters.
